Facilities on Campus
Book Shop
Reference and recommended books, national and international newspapers and magazines, stationary and relevant publications are available at the book shop. The book shop is located near the medical college building on the ground floor of the Campus. The book shop timing are from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Photocopying
The photocopying facility in the Bookshop may be used. For details please contact the Bookshop receptionist. Photocopying facility is also available at the Library for photocopying of material available in the Library. For details please contact the library receptionist.
Lost and Found
The College assumes no responsibility for the loss, damage or destruction of the students’ personal property. Possessions are one’s own responsibility. In cases where one loses or finds something, it needs to be reported to the Medical College Administration for their advice (Manager, Admin office on the ground floor of the Hospital building).
Food Services
Students can have their meals in the Food Services Cafeteria which is open twenty four hours. Refreshments are available when meals are not served.
Prayer Area
Mosque is located adjacent to the main medical college building.
Notice Boards
Official notice boards are located near the Library, in the Medical College in every department, and in the Admin block outside Principal’s Office on the ground floor. These notice boards contain official announcements from the College departments and information about other College activities. Notices will also be posted on the CMC Website.
Internet access
At CMC’s Audio Visual Learning Resource Centre, in the Library, students can access Internet, moreover almost entire campus is a Wi-Fi enable zone. Students can access the internet by getting the password from the library
Transport
The University does have an in-house transport service. For information and registration please contact the transport office.
For students using their own cars driven to the College, the parking lot may be used. To be able to use the Parking lot, parking stickers should be obtained from the Administration and Security Department.
Sports and Fitness
For recreational purpose the College has a Sports and Fitness Centre on campus. It is designed to meet a comprehensive range of sporting, recreational and fitness needs. The facilities include a health and fitness gymnasium equipped with the latest Life-Fitness Cardio equipment and extensive range of machine and free weights and qualified staff available; a gymnasium which is used for indoor basketball, badminton, volley ball, net ball and table tennis.
Other facilities include, Cricket and Football ground and an international standard squash court.
Sports Centre membership is open to all students, employees, alumni, trustees and volunteers of the College.
Health Facilities
Hayat Memorial Hospital is a state-of-the-art hospital providing primary and tertiary health care. Students who fall ill need to attend the Community Health Centre and see the Student Health Physician for advice. In case of emergencies students need to contact the Hospital Emergency Room.
Library
The College Library supports educational, research and clinical activities and programs. It has the best collection of medical literature available, both in print and digital formats. The CMC Library gives priority in providing access to e-resources. The primary objective of the collection is to provide current and up-to-date scholarly and scientific literature.
