Introduction
Pathology is branch of medical science that involves the study and diagnosis of disease. It is a bridge between science and medicine. The goal of teaching pathology to MBBS students is to make them aware of variety of disease process. It involves learning of microbiology, histopathology, chemical pathology and hematology. Our mission is to improve best knowledge of the subject for correct diagnosis and prognosis of disease and inculcate interest in student for research studies.
Our mission is to equip students in discipline of pathology by imparting knowledge and understanding of disease and biological systems. Thus to foster the development of professional skills through well designed curricula based on experiments, training and research.
Pathology department of the Continental Medical College is fully equipped to provide medical education involving as all its branches and correlation with diseases.

Salient Features
Lectures:
Interactive lectures using multimedia will introduce the concepts, theories and application of the subject using relevant examples. Students will be asked questions and are expected to discuss material from previous lectures.
Experimentation (Practical):
For long term inculcation in students mind clinically important concepts are augmented by performing practical in Pathology Lab.
Class Activities (Tutorials):
Students are exposed to group discussions and question answer sessions with the teachers in small groups during tutorial hours.
During this time the complex concepts and their practical application is further explained by the teachers to the students by using clinical examples.
Class Presentations:
Class presentations are conducted in the class to allow students to demonstrate their knowledge of an already taught topic. This also helps to improve their presentations skills.
Class Assignments:
Some very important topics which are core curriculum and heart of the subject are given to the students to prepare in assignments. Marking of these assignments gives a good feedback to the teacher.
Pretests:
Self-Evaluation written tests and viva tests are conducted at alternate week for concept grooming of the students in a new organ system.
Online classes:
Owing to the Covid-19 situation, students are given online classes. The regular time table is followed during these sessions. Frequent assignments are given. Marking of these assignments gives a good feedback to the teacher.
